About Us
We are a husband-and-wife team when it comes to renovating, utilising Darren’s practical skills and Sharon’s aesthetic eye to create practical and beautiful spaces. Alongside projects, Sharon is a writer and often finds inspiration from her surroundings. Darren is a tech guru, and outside the day job keeps everything technical ticking over! We share our home (and furniture!) with our two sibling Labradors – Ronnie & Saffron
Little Glenville, is a pretty stone cottage annexed to the main house, with a cosy lounge, traditional log-burner, wall-mounted TV, fast internet connection.
It also has a small desk and chair, with French doors out to a small private and secure garden with table, chairs and parasol.
You could find yourself waking up to views of cows and horses in the fields behind to complete the rural idyll.
We hope we have thought of everything for you to have the best experience, and enjoy meeting our lovely guests and hearing their stories 😊
EXCELLENT Based on 9 reviews Posted on Sarah Fretwell-JexJuly 13, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Every detail was perfect and we could see that regardless of the time of year, that the cottage was able to deliver, from the wood burning stove to the very private garden for time outdoors. We walked for miles and never saw a car and were able to pick up fresh farm eggs just a short walk from the cottage. Sharon and Darren have fabulous taste, top notch and very luxurious and we slept deeply in that huge bed! We cannot recommend highly enough. We'll be back!Posted on Anne JohnsJuly 10, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A fabulous stay in beautiful accommodation with every comfort. A Slice of Heaven at The Little Glenville! Our recent stay at The Little Glenville in Weeton was an absolute dream! This charming cottage is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of cosy comfort and stylish elegance. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by how impeccably spotless and beautifully presented everything was. One of the standout features was the incredible aroma of freshly home-baked bread that greeted us. It was such a warm and welcoming touch that truly set the tone for a wonderfully relaxing break. The location is superb for exploring. We found it incredibly convenient having easy access to the local train station, making trips into both Harrogate and Leeds an absolute breeze. After a day of exploring, returning to the tranquility of The Little Glenville was pure bliss. If you're looking for a beautiful, spotless, and welcoming retreat with fantastic transport links and thoughtful touches like delicious homemade bread, look no further than The Little Glenville. We can't recommend it highly enough and are already planning our return visit!Posted on Ian BamforthApril 6, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Superb accommodation. Excellent welcome from Sharon and so spacious, comfortable and stylish. A great location as well, not far from Leeds and Harrogate, but nestled in the beautiful countryside in Wharfedale.Posted on Nick MurphyFebruary 28, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place really surpassed all our expectations. It has been recently renovated and the attention to detail applied to the place makes all the difference. It feels incredible homely, and Sharon was extremely welcoming on our arrival. Freshly baked bread, fresh butter, jam, milk, dog treats and lindor chocolates are just a few of the things we were welcomed too. The perfect accommodation. We just wish we could have stayed longer! We will 100% be returning. 10/10Posted on Scott MurrayFebruary 18, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a great stay at Little Glenville. Lovely and quiet with some great walks on the doorstep. Harrogate is 6 miles away and you can take the train if you do t want to drive, the train station at Huby isn’t far to walk. The cottage is perfect and the log burner was comforting and hypnotic on an evening! Thank you Sharon. 😄Posted on Paul ReddingNovember 23, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A little gem in a peaceful yet convenient location. One of the most beautifully and stylishly presented cottages we have stayed in. Clean and well equipped; even better than the photos and plenty of room to spread out. Lovely comfy bed with views out to the countryside. Sharon is friendly and helpful (even got the fire going in readiness for our arrival). Added touches such as warm homemade bread, selection of books, cds, games and high quality shampoos/soaps really make it stand out. There is a safe enclosed garden if bringing a pet and plenty of local walks. Stay here - you won’t be disappointed.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Beauty whatever the season
The cottage is located in a green-belt area, and we often see Red Kites, Barn Owls, and other birds such as Great Tits and Wrens. As well as the usual Thrushes and Blackbirds.
The local church is known for the many Rooks that nest in the high trees on the approach, and you may spot the occasional Roe Deer in the fields.
